Efficient Heating Tips
Try different placements of the heater to see what works best for your room.
Avoid placing the infrared heater in drafty areas or near air filtration systems as the warm air will be exhausted too quickly. Close the cold air return to prevent the heat being drawn away. Weather seal drafty cracks around windows or doors to help insulate the room from drafts.
For more efficient heating place the infrared heater near a warmer inside wall and direct the warm air output towards a cooler outside wall. This will draw the generated heat towards the outside wall.
Due to the humidity feature of the EcoSunTec moist air purifying infrared heater a soft heat is created bringing an evenly heated atmosphere that makes lower temperature feel warmer; 68 degrees feel like 72 degrees.
Close the hot air delivery registers and air return grills of the existing heat system if the infrared heater is being used in an isolated area.
In rooms with large areas of bare concrete place the infrared heater a few feet or so above the floor. Make sure the infrared heater is in a secure spot so it won't fall. Concrete will tend to draw the heat toward itself.
Save on heating bills! Why heat rooms to 68 or more degrees when they are not in use? Try lowering your central heating system temperature. Use the EcoSunTec Moist Air Purifying Infrared Heater where you are spending your time.
In larger areas, place the infrared heater in a central location. Use a ceiling fan nearby set to move the air downward, to help distribute the heat more evenly.
